Some questions for you to ask:

1) Do you have experience in the hotel industry?
HotelSphere copywriters are also experienced hotel managers.  They have years of experience of running, marketing and selling hotels and they understand the challenges you face.  More importantly, they know what hotel guests really want and have strong experience in the market research you need to do in order to identify the right target markets for your business.

2) How will your copy attract new visitors from search engines?
There will be particular key criteria by which you want your hotel to be found on the Internet.  We will run a comprehensive keyword analysis in order to find the right set of keywords for your business.  These keywords will then be built in to your sales copy and throughout the site structure from day one.

3) How will you keep the visitor's attention?

Visitors are looking for confirmation that they’ve landed on the right page – a page that is of interest to them.  We follow proven copy and article design techniques to make sure that your website will talk to your visitors about their favourite subject – themselves.

4) What style will you use?
This depends on who you want to engage with your website.  The words and style of writing we use will change, depending on the type of customer you’re after.  This will form part of your brief to us:  You need to tell us who your target customers are.  We’ll do the work necessary to identify their vocabulary and preferred method of absorbing the information you’re trying to impart (hint – it’s not always the written word…).

5) How will you turn my visitors into customers?
You are likely to measure the success of your website by the sales it generates.  That is why we use a “sales process” based on what your business is doing (or needs to do) in order to help you get the sale.  This sales process recognises that “buying” is a result of a decision process which might have taken minutes, days or months for the visitor to work their way through.  There’s more to this than simply yelling “buy now!” at them on every page of your website.  Your customer puts a lot of effort into informing their decision and your sales process needs to reflect that.

6) Can you show me examples of websites you have written?
Of course!  Ask and we’ll show you.  If you want to speak to our customers, go ahead.

7) Can you ensure the copy is consistent throughout the entire website?
Every job we do is governed by a Style Guide – a set of instructions for writing and layout agreed at the outset before any words are written.  You need to be involved in that process so you’re comfortable with what we’re doing.  For larger sites, we use a checking system which reports any deviation from the agreed style back to the copywriters.

8) Do you have customer testimonials?
Of course.  Just ask for details.

9) Can you provide me with a fixed quote?
You want a timeframe for completion and a fixed project price.  You want to be able to make amendments and to know how we will handle your amendments.  Yes!  You can get all this clarity from HotelSphere.

10) Can you get the job done to my deadline?
We will carry out some analysis before committing to a deadline.  If we think we can get the job completed and delivered to your deadline, that will form part of our commitment to you.

If we think your deadline is not realistic we’ll tell you why and make suggestions with regard to achieving your deadline.  This usually means applying more resource.  Generally speaking, the shorter the timescale, the more the job will cost.
