I'd like to take a moment to record my thanks to those of you who are kind enough to use the comments section of this blog to send me encouraging messages...
...it is very kind of you and I am delighted to find you enjoy what you read here.
Unfortunately, at present I can't publish your comments because I have to keep the antispam system on the blog turned up to "nuke".
This is because of a selection of (what we in Scotland call) eejits, ranging from spotty teenagers in Russia through to extremely odd people from several parts of Asia, who are under the misguided impression that they'll be able to use this blog as a means of promoting anything from cures for male impotence through to pictures of girls (I can only assume these are pictures of your sisters?) doing highly improbable stunts with items more commonly found on the shelves of any good greengrocer.
Keeping the comment spam system turned to "nuke" means I can keep all these idiots at bay. Unhappily, it also makes it difficult for me to publish the things genuine readers are saying. This is a poor show - because I really would like to do so. If you're genuinely interested in hotel marketing, hotel distribution or hotel operations and you'd like to provoke some comment on this blog, please use the comment system to let me know. I still receive all the messages and it would be nice to hear from you.
If however, you're still trying to sell phoney drugs or pictures of your sister, you should note that this system records IP addresses and so on - and I report all the idiots to as many blacklists as I can. It's a small and largely pointless gesture I know, but the sense of satisfaction is quite addictive.
Meanwhile, I'll keep reading the instructions to see if I can find a way of letting genuine readers take part in the blog, safely.
Thanks for your kind comments everyone. I really do appreciate them.
